Here at CPL, we are obsessed with “Salads in Jar”
We love them so much that we designed a party around them!!! We grab our momma friends, set a date and have them sign up to bring salad toppings. As the host, we provide the salad greens and make this ah-mazing Vegan Ranch salad dressing. (Recipe below! Honestly, it’s fabulous!)
Everyone shows up with their goodies – we set everything out just like a salad bar and we go for it. We each take a quart size mason jar and go around and fill our jars halfway with toppings and then layer the toppings with half a jar of greens. The final touch is dried nuts and seeds and we pop the dressing on top in a cute little cup with a lid I found at the local grocery store.
The fabulous thing is we all go home with 4 salads PLUS we’ve gotten much-needed girlfriend time in too! We brought 4 cups of toppings and we leave with 4 huge salads…so we are also in a way food sharing…which happens to be budget friendly! So here’s how to build your salad:
Next time you are prepping for the week think about calling your other mom friends over and trying a salad in a jar party. They are so much fun and save a lot of time too. Want our list of salad toppings and other fun salad dressing recipes? Click here!
